Running commentary of the markets will resume when they open on Wednesday, 2 May

4:00 PM - The markets made substantial gains
today and barring FMCG and consumer durables, all sectoral indices closed
positive. IT, tech, oil & gas and realty were the best performers in
today's session and metal and power, too, supported the indices well. The
Sensex closed at 17319, up 131 points from its previous close, and Nifty shut
shop at 5248, up 39 points. The CNX Midcap index was up 0.7% while the BSE Smallcap index gained 0.4% in today's trade.
The market breadth was positive with advances at 833 against declines of 605 on
the NSE. The top Nifty gainers were TCS, Jindal Steel, Power Grid and Hero MotoCorp while
the biggest losers included BHEL, Maruti Suzuki, Axis Bank and

बैंक ऑफ इंडिया: मुनाफे में 93% की बढ़ोतरी
वित्त वर्ष 2012 की चौथी तिमाही में बैंक ऑफ इंडिया का मुनाफा 93 फीसदी बढ़कर 953 करोड़ रुपये रहा। पिछले साल जनवरी-मार्च में बैंक का मुनाफा 493 करोड़ रुपये रहा था।
जनवरी-मार्च तिमाही में बैंक ऑफ इंडिया की ब्याज आय 8.4 फीसदी बढ़कर 2500 करोड़ रुपये रही। वित्त वर्ष 2011 की चौथी तिमाही में बैंक की ब्याज आय 2307 करोड़ रुपये रही थी।
साल-दर-साल आधार पर चौथी तिमाही में बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के प्रोविजन 478 करोड़ रुपये से बढ़कर 702 करोड़ रुपये रहे। वहीं, बैंक की अन्य आय 823 करोड़ रुपये से बढ़कर 967 करोड़ रुपये रही।
तिमाही-दर-तिमाही आधार पर जनवरी-मार्च में बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के नेट एनपीए 1.78 फीसदी से घटकर 1.47 फीसदी रहे। वहीं, बैंक का नेट इंटरेस्ट मार्जिन 2.55 फीसदी से बढ़कर 2.86 फीसदी रहा।
पिछले साल के मुकाबले चौथी तिमाही में बैंक ऑफ इंडिया का कैपिटल एडिक्वेसी रेश्यो 12.17 फीसदी से घटकर 11.95 फीसदी रहा है।
बैंक ऑफ इंडिया ने 7 रुपये प्रति शेयर के डिविडेंड का ऐलान किया है।
वित्त वर्ष 2012 की चौथी तिमाही में एक्साइड इंडस्ट्रीज का मुनाफा 12.6 फीसदी घटकर 143 करोड़ रुपये रहा। वहीं 2011 की चौथी तिमाही में कंपनी का मुनाफा 163.6 करोड़ रुपये रहा था।
वित्त वर्ष 2012 की चौथी तिमाही में एक्साइड इंडस्ट्रीज की बिक्री 16 फीसदी बढ़कर 1446 करोड़ रुपये रही। वहीं 2011 की चौथी तिमाही में कंपनी की बिक्री 1,248 करोड़ रुपये रही थी।
